Overview

An exceptional opportunity exists for a progressive physician leader to serve as Chair / Medical Director of the Arnot Health Heart and Vascular Institute in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY. Reporting to the CMO, the successful candidate will possess a demonstrated record of progressive clinical and leadership experience in Non-Invasive Cardiology. The Director will lead transformational initiatives to:

• Meet growth and financial targets
• Improve patient, provider and staff satisfaction
• Drive operational efficiency
• Maintain the highest level of care, clinical expertise and appropriate coverage for all cardiology services
• Create a culture of continuous performance improvement
• Ensure an effective educational environment for students, residents and fellows.

Qualified candidates will possess board certification with a minimum of five years clinical practice and three years leadership experience. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to champion quality efforts and drive clinical integration are required.

Practice Description

The Arnot Health Heart Institute is an integrated network of facilities and specialists, organized to deliver comprehensive care to patients throughout the Twin Tiers. Our full spectrum of cardiac care includes prevention, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment, rehabilitation and continuing education and support. Patients are admitted to Arnot Ogden Medical Center, home to The Heart Institute. Providers also practice from two central cardiology clinics and numerous primary care satellite offices throughout the Twin Tiers.

Affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and accredited by the AOA and ACGME, Arnot Health is one of the largest graduate education training sites dedicated to osteopathic medicine. Our training programs include 3rd and 4th year medical students as well as primary and specialty care residencies and fellowships. Faculty appointments are available and candidates with a passion for teaching are of special interest.
